The “gmina” Górzyca is an administrative district on the Oder situated between two border crossings 10 km from Kostrzyn nad Odrą and 20 km from Słubice and located in the north of Kostrzyn, north- west of Słońsk, east of Rzepin and south of Słubice. Górzyca is known for its unique nature and wildlife due to the fact that many of its territories belong to the Landscape- and National Park "Wartha Mouth" (Ujście Warty) which is especially interesting and worth seeing when taking into consideration its ornithological context. A direct partner of the district Górzyca on the German side is a county Seelow. Besides, in the neighborhood of Owczary there is a worth seeing Museum of Meadow (Muzeum Łąki). Górzyca has also a German- Polish Meeting Centre for Tourists and Investors with a computer room, a district Information Centre, library, conference room for simultaneous translations and many accommodations. Furthermore, there is a Sport and Rehabilitation Centre to be found in Górzyca offering accommodation, rehabilitation, tennis courts, tennis lessons with a tutor, climbing wall, multifunctional sport fields to play football, volleyball, handball or basketball, running track (100 m), athletics devices such as long jump sand pits or high jump sports equipment etc. www.sport.kultura.gorzyca.pl
