Słońsk (in German: Sonnenburg) is a western Polish village in the Lubusz Voivodeship County Sulęcin of approximately 3100 inhabitants and the administrative headquarters of which are also in Słońsk. The village used to be a town and it belonged to Gorzów Voivodship (1975-1998). Słońsk is situated about 36 kilometers southwest of Gorzów Wielkopolski, 15 km east of Kostrzyn nad Odrą, 25 kilometres northwest of Sulęcin, and south of Wartha river. It also borders with the Ujście Warty National Park and there was a Nazi concentration camp built up in Słońsk during the World War II (currently the place turned into museum).
